about me
Born and raised in the south of the Netherlands, I have had the privilege of growing up in a creative and 'do-it-yourself' kind of family. I've explored many different interests during my life, and was blessed with the opportunity to study. I qualified as a primary school teacher, and later as a neuro-psychologist. After studying I focused increasingly on making linoleum prints, because I found that my mental and physical health could not be well when participating in the 'rat race' of 'working, performing, promoting'. In relief printing technique I found my passion; the creativity of drawing a design, and the concentration and precision needed to cut it out. I think it's beautiful to capture the simple every-day things in a print, because these are the things that connect us as humans.
